Ecuadorian Oldest Married Couple in The World!

An Ecuadorian couple has proven they withstood the test of your time, almost eight decades after their disapproving families refused to be present for his or her wedding vows.
 
Julio César Mora and Waldramina Quintero are recognized by Guinness World Records because of the oldest marriage within the world, with a combined age of 214 years and 358 days.

Mora is 110 years old and was born before the Titanic sank, while wife Quinteros is 104.
 
The couple met in 1934 and married in 1941 – and credit their longlasting relationship to the love and respect that they need to be held towards one another since their very first meeting.
 
‘Family unity under the principles of affection, mutual respect, honest work, and proper education supported family values are the keys to healthy coexistence,’ said the couple, in line with the record-keeping site.
The couple was introduced in 1934 by Mora’s cousin, who was married to Quintero’s sister.
The couple dated until they tied the knot February 7, 1941 in Quito, But the marriage happened on the QT, before of their godparents and best friends, because their parents and families were vehemently opposed the union and ‘did not have a decent relationship.’
 
But luckily the animosity didn’t last, and therefore the couple said: ‘With time and patience we were able to unite them and that we became an example and therefore the best reference for the younger generations.’
 
Quintero and Mora became teachers and were parents to 5 children, although their eldest kicked the bucket at the age of 58.
 
They now have 11 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great-grandchildren.
 
Like any man and wife, Mora and Quintero experienced their share of disagreements over the years but always made absolute to keep their differences behind closed doors and shielded from their sons and daughter.
 
‘Respect, compassion, and consideration with which we maintained our relationship was very important; we never argued or fought,’ they said.
 
‘There were disagreements, but they weren’t noticeable to any of our youngsters who also deserved respect and love.’
 
The record-setting couple enjoys growing plants and like to spend their free time visiting watch a movie and taking in an exceedingly show at the stage – activities that are paused because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
 
‘The love and maturity that we had as a pair from the start of the wedding allowed us to understand one another and grow emotionally to define our future,’ they said.
 
‘It is true that at this point it’s difficult because we are overwhelmed by the pandemic that affects the globe and that we still don’t have an answer. However, the primary step for us to follow the foundations with respect and love life.’
