Australia’s leading provider of dementia care and wellbeing technology, Moove & Groove, has rebranded to Resparke with a focus on providing innovative and comprehensive therapeutic solutions for aged care homes.

Moove & Groove, Australia’s leading provider of evidence-based dementia care and wellbeing technology, has announced a rebrand to Resparke.

Alison Harrington, Founder and CEO, said, “The new name Resparke is inspired by the spark we see in a resident’s eyes when they put the headphones on and experience the program for the first time.”

The rebranding move comes as part of a broader strategic effort to better reflect the company’s focus on providing innovative and comprehensive therapeutic solutions that support aged care homes not just to improve resident wellbeing and manage changed dementia behaviours but also to assist with compliance and improve staff job satisfaction.

As part of the relaunch initiative, Resparke will release significant new product enhancements, including:
* A fully integrated music solution to deliver personalised music engagement
* An upgraded resident preferences profile management system and;
* Smart content-matching technology

These 3 components combine to enable resident information and preferences to be easily uploaded and transformed into a dynamic profile page. This supports care staff to access personalised music and video selections at the click of a button. The platform also features extensive language options. Given the increasing cultural diversity of older Australians in care, accessing over 40+ languages in one place is a game changer for care teams.

These enhancements make it easier and quicker for time-poor staff to provide efficient, person-centred care.

“We are also excited about the potential for this new technology to “spark” conversations and connections between staff and residents, as accessing someone’s life’s preferences and building profiles is so much easier,” Harrington said.

It is also anticipated the new enhancements will deliver significant benefits in supporting staff to manage dementia behaviour. This will be the focus of ongoing research, supported by the ARIIA grant awarded to Resparke in partnership with Twilight Aged Care and the Australian Catholic University.

At a time when the aged care sector is under pressure and faces many challenges, Resparke offers an opportunity for homes to embrace new technologies to ease the burden on staff and create even more positive outcomes for residents and families.
