Wayne Belcher author

Wayne Belcher (OAM) is an experienced chief executive with almost four decades of experience across all Aged Care service types. He has held various leadership roles, including Chief Executive of Bethanie, Director and Interim Chief Executive of Baptistcare WA and Chief Executive of Braemar Presbyterian Care. Wayne was awarded a Medallion of the Order of Australia in 2007, in recognition of his significant contribution to community services. This in part acknowledged his dedication to aged care as well as assistance he gave to the Howard Government in an advisory capacity in aged care services. Wayne holds postgraduate qualifications in Health Administration (majoring in Gerontology); Divinity and Ministry; and Business Law. He is also alumni at the Wharton Business School, University of Pennsylvania. A strong advocate for senior Australians, Wayne is a regular commentator in the industry, and a supporter of Minimum Staff Ratios.
