Silverchain expands in-home care with new partnership

Silverchain Private Care has entered into a strategic partnership with Victoria-based retired living operator One to Another, extending its in-home care services to residents in Melbourne’s bayside suburbs.

This collaboration marks Silverchain’s continued efforts to meet the growing demand for personalised, self-funded care among older Australians.

Under the agreement, Silverchain becomes the preferred provider of in-home care on a fee-for-service basis for residents at One to Another’s retired living villages in Brighton and Sandringham. This partnership aligns with Silverchain’s mission to enable older Australians to remain in their homes for as long as possible, avoiding the need for residential aged care.

“This agreement offers residents the opportunity to remain at home longer by accessing essential in-home support, helping them stay safe and well,” said Dot Fuller, Director of Silverchain Private Care. She emphasised that the partnership is a testament to Silverchain’s ability to cater to the needs of Victorians who prefer to self-fund their care.

Silverchain’s model of care is characterised by its flexibility and accessibility, with no waitlists or government assessments required. This approach allows for rapid deployment of services, whether for short-term or ongoing care. The care provided is comprehensive, ranging from assistance with daily activities like showering and cooking to specialised nursing care.

“Whether it is assistance with daily activities or more specialised nursing care, our integrated approach ensures residents can stay, feel, and live well at home, regardless of age or stage of life,” Fuller added.

One to Another’s Village Manager, Sandra Doolan, expressed confidence in the partnership, stating that Silverchain’s team brings valuable experience and knowledge. “We know that through this new partnership, our residents will continue to be cared for in the manner they are accustomed to,” Doolan said.

The partnership comes as Silverchain Private Care celebrates its second year of providing in-home care services in Victoria. As part of the not-for-profit Silverchain Group, which has been a leader in in-home care for 130 years, the Private Care division continues to expand its footprint across the state.
