Moyola Aged Care is a 43 Bed Aged Care Facility in Tatura currently looking for a Leisure & Lifestyle Assistant to join our team on a casual basis.
The Leisure & Lifestyle Assistant encourages and supports consumers to participate in a wide range of interests and activities in line with their individual needs and care plans.
Key responsibilities
- Meeting individual needs of our consumers in a caring environment
- Developing activity programs designed to improve and maintain consumers health and wellbeing
- Providing social and recreational programs that meet the needs of the consumers
- Contribute to developing timetables that provide structure, flexibility and diversity
- Organise activities for consumers living with dementia and other complex needs, which aims to promote independence
Successful candidate will have:
- Certificate IV Leisure and Health, or equivalent
- Previous experience in providing recreational activities within aged care
- Ability to be self-motivated and promote a positive work environment
- A high level of written and verbal communication skills
- Ability and commitment to work as part of a team
- Initiative and ability to work without supervision
- Computer skills
