Hunter New England Local Health District is looking for Patient Experience Officers.
About the role
The Patient Experience Officer (PEO) partners with Belmont Hospital’s Emergency Department team to improve patient experience through positive, compassionate and effective communication. The PEO works closely with the Nurse Unit Manager, and under the direction of the Registered Nurse in charge, to provide this support to patients their carers and visitors. This role is supported by the Administration Manager and the Nurse Unit Manager, with periodic meetings with other PEOs in the district with additional support from the Patient Reported Measures Project Team.
Days of work are Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday with shift times between 11:00am – 19:30pm or 12:00pm -20:30pm
Where you’ll be working:
Belmont Hospital provides a range of health care services, including general medicine, general surgery, day surgery, coronary care, gynaecology and emergency services. Allied health services are also provided, including referral to other services on the Belmont Health Service campus.
Co-located with the health service are the Belmont Birthing Service, Children and Young People Community Health Services and Lakeview Detoxification Unit.

You will also possess an understanding of the complexities and challenges within an Emergency Department.
