Civica welcomes proposed design for new Support at Home Program
Civica Care, an Australian leader in innovative software for community care organisations, is helping the Aged Care industry across Australia through their Carelink Suite software. Carelink Suite supports assessment, reablement, and restorative care through a paperless, instant means of communicating critical information and a leading direct care worker app for the industry.
Civica Care’s market-leading software, which is used by 1 in 5 Australian community care providers, is helping to transform and support positive care outcomes for communities across Australia. The Carelink Suite facilitates your staff to focus on delivering better care across the aged, disability, mental health, children and family services sectors by automating and streamlining operational processes.
The Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety provided a significant number of recommendations, including the need to implement a new aged care program.
The report indicated “the System Governor should complete its work on the optimal design for the integration of the Commonwealth Home Support Programme and Home Care Package Program.” In response, the Australian Department of Health has commenced planning for the new Support at Home Program due to start in July 2023. The improved support will aim to reduce the amount of senior Australians having to enter residential aged care prematurely and against their wishes. The program expects to aid individualised support plans, provide more clarity on service inclusions, funding of providers, and overall lead to better regulation of the market.
In support of the changes to a new program for goods, equipment, assistive technologies, and home modification needs to live safely and independently, Civica is reviewing requirements around assessment and future claiming to enhance the capabilities of the Carelink Suite.
Civica’s Carelink Suite removes the need for spreadsheets and paper-based forms. The smart software solution enables teams to securely access time and attendance schedules, rosters, and client information on-the-go from multiple devices.
Client data, case management information, rostering, resources, aware interpretation, budgeting, and financial tracking are accessible from a customised dashboard in a few clicks. Web-based application CarelinkAir allows care workers to collect client information at point-of-contact. CarelinkCloud future-proofs the delivery of care with the deployment of your Carelink Suite via the cloud. Third-party HR, payroll, finance, and reporting systems can also be integrated into the Carelink Suite solution using CarelinkConnect, our suite of API’s.
Carelink Suite supports care organisations in managing various areas of compliance within the community care sector. The Carelink Suite not only saves tangible costs, as the one platforms feed into the entire care system, it saves clients and workers significant time that can be spent providing care for their clients, allowing them to be more responsive.
