About the role
The Patient Services Clerk is responsible for providing timely and accurate administrative support for members of the health care team on designated ward/s under the direction of the Nursing Unit Manager. The PSC will work under broad supervision and will also require the individual to take some independent action demonstrating good intuitive, communication, planning and time management skill. This position is the first point of contact for the ward, excellent skills in customer service, management of patient medical records as well as operation of patient administration systems.

Essential: Ability to maintain the strictest confidentiality in all work matters

Desirable: Previous experience in an administrative and/or clinical environment, with relevant experience in patient information systems, preferably iPM, Aria, CAP
Desirable: Experience working within hospital/healthcare environment including management of patient records and working knowledge/qualification of Medical Terminology
