The South East Public Health Unit COVID 19 is a newly established unit working to prevent and respond to the spread of COVID-19 in the south-east suburbs of Melbourne. In the future, the unit will likely play a pivotal role in the broader aspects of public health. We will operate across the south-east of Melbourne.

As we build an inclusive unit that embraces diversity and difference, we are looking for enthusiastic administration assistants to support the current Residential In-Reach team.

  • Expansion of role to cover 7 days per week
  • Play a key role in supporting the efficient running of Residential In Reach

About our Residential In Reach at Monash Health

Monash Health is the largest public health service in Victoria, employing over 18,000 people across a range of specialties.

Residential In Reach is a specialized and evolving non admitted service operating within Monash Health Community. The aim of the service is to prevent avoidable Emergency Department presentations for Residential Care Facility patients by offering an alternative specialized service. This service provides timely patient-centered care within their facility.

The Residential In-Reach team will support 120 aged residential facilities and 150+ disability facilities in our catchment.

About The Role

The role is to provide administrative support for the clinicians. This will including:

  • supply ordering
  • data entry
  • appointment booking
  • telephone contact with stakeholders regarding events
  • reconciliation of medical records

The position is a part-time ongoing role, with job share considered.

About You

You display strong computer skills, are a quick learner, have pride in your work demonstrated by attention to detail, great people skills, and enjoy variety in your role.

What You Need:

  • Certificate IV / Diploma of Business Administration (highly regarded)
  • Demonstrated experience in a healthy environment
  • Current Victorian Drivers license
  • Australian working rights
