Safety in Numbers: Revolutionising Aged Care with AI and Data-Driven Insights

In the rapidly evolving landscape of aged care, ensuring the safety, well-being, and optimal outcomes for older people is paramount. That’s why Mable is committed to leveraging cutting-edge technology, specifically Artificial Intelligence (AI), to transform the aged care sector and provide peace of mind for everyone involved.

Our journey began over a decade ago, driven by a simple yet powerful vision: to connect people based on trust and mutual need. Today, we are more than just a platform. We are now a holistic healthcare service offering, encompassing Mable, our dynamic platform connecting clients and providers with support workers; HomeMade, an approved aged care provider; Leap in!, a disability plan manager; and Mable Direct, our e-commerce offering. With over 500 employees and handling over $1.3 billion in annual healthcare services, our impact is significant.

This deep sector experience means we understand the complexities aged care providers face when navigating the requirements under the New Aged Care Act and the Support at Home program. That’s why we’ve invested heavily in platform updates and are using AI and data-driven insights to equip aged care providers with powerful tools for seamless compliance and enhanced service delivery.

Tap into the Benefits of AI and Data-Driven Insights

Mable is pioneering technological advancements in aged care by deploying sophisticated algorithms, data science, and AI integration. These tools are designed to optimise client-support worker matching, ensuring the right care is delivered by the right person at the right time.

Our data-driven insights enhance service quality, operational efficiency, and decision-making for aged care providers. Recently, our advanced data tracking system picked up in a client’s shift notes a deterioration in his usual energy levels. This deterioration was flagged by our system and reviewed by our clinical nursing team, who were then able to reach out to the client’s next of kin to suggest that medical intervention was required. The person was taken to the hospital, and it was later discovered he was suffering from sepsis. In this case, our system was able to pick up trends that wouldn’t have ever been picked up by a human – even the client’s wife didn’t think anything was wrong. This shows that AI isn’t just helping us make better decisions, it’s making decisions we wouldn’t have ever made.

Meet Your Compliance and Regulatory Requirements with Technology

Navigating the regulatory landscape can be challenging. Mable’s robust technology solutions empower aged care providers with powerful tools for seamless compliance with the New Aged Care Act. By leveraging AI-driven interventions, we facilitate proactive care management, ensuring client safety and quality service delivery while mitigating regulatory risks.

Our platform ensures transparency and accountability while meeting compliance requirements. We drive efficiency and safeguard client outcomes with technology, including using LLM examples for early intervention. Practical features like group messaging enable aged care providers to manage support services at scale efficiently. We also facilitate effective management of service mix, referrals, and reassessments, ensuring client safety and improving clinical outcomes through technology.

Future-Proofing Your Operations with Continuous Innovation

Our technology journey has been one of continuous improvement. What started as matching on a whiteboard has evolved into sophisticated algorithms that facilitate high-quality connections. We consistently update our platform and software solutions to stay at the forefront of innovation. Today, over 300 aged care providers trust Mable as a tried-and-tested solution.

We’ve prepared proactively for the changes required under the New Aged Care Act and Support at Home program. This includes webinars, communication to educate support providers, platform updates for training and qualifications, and streamlined invoicing and payment processes. HomeMade has also made significant preparations for the transition, aligning with the New Aged Care Act’s emphasis on a rights-based, person-centred approach.

Furthermore, we address provider concerns about safety. We ensure worker quality, conduct background checks, and proactively monitor shift notes. Our soon-to-be-launched check-in and check-out feature adds another layer of security.

At Mable, we build trust through safety and safeguarding. As a business partner to aged care providers, this means we simplify and streamline business operations while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory obligations.

While we are proud of our impact to date, we know our journey is far from over. We are powered by real people dedicated to positively contributing to the aged care sector, ensuring safety, enhancing outcomes, and creating peace of mind for families and providers alike.
