We provide tailored, evidence-based treatment to the disabled, elderly and paediatric population within metropolitan Melbourne and surrounding districts – and we do it in the comfort of the patients own home, favourite park, local swimming pool, or even at school.

 

We are looking for a Graduate Occupational Therapist to join our team – this could be a wonderful opportunity for anyone interested in a dynamic and varied community setting with plenty of chances for career development!

 

About the Role:

 

As community Occupational Therapist, you will provide treatment to disabled, paediatric and elderly clients in their own environments in metropolitan Melbourne and surrounds.

 

You will work closely alongside a team of experienced Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists based at our head office in Clayton. You will be comfortable to work autonomously and manage your own flexible schedule. Full time or part time positions are available – new graduates are encouraged to apply for a 2021 commencement post AHPRA registration.

 

Your duties and responsibilities will include the following:

 

  • Manage a varied caseload of clients living in their own homes including paeds, mental health and physical disability;
    Maximise client functional capacity and evaluate their options for ongoing care as required;
    Develop high quality and evidence-based treatment plans;
    Complete progress notes and requested reports in a timely manner.

Skills and Experience:

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy with current AHPRA registration;
    Placement experience in community Occupational Therapy (aged care/paediatric/mental health) is preferred but not mandatory;
    Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team as well as autonomously;
    Sincere passion for helping a diverse range of clients;
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
    Superior customer service skills and ability to establish genuine rapport with clients;
    Unrestricted current driver’s license.
