Where You’ll Be Working

Sydney Local Health District (SLHD) is seeking a dynamic Hospital Scientist to join our Cell & Molecular Therapies team at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.

 

The Hospital Scientist will be involved in the development, manufacturing and testing of novel human cellular therapeutics including gene modified cells according to the cGMP. They will also be involved in the operation and maintenance of the ISO14644 and PC2 certified clean room laboratories and equipment of the Department of Cell and Molecular Therapies (CMT) at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.

What We Require:

  • An appropriate science degree from an approved University in a relevant discipline such as cell biology, molecular biology, immunology, microbiology or biochemistry
  • Prior experience in a medical scientific laboratory environment including culture and testing of primary human cells
  • A demonstrated ability to rapidly learn new techniques

 

This is a Category A position. To be employed by NSW Health you are required to provide evidence of vaccination to comply with the NSW Health Occupational Assessment, Screening & Vaccination against Specified Infectious Diseases Policy.
