What you’ll be doing
The Drug & Alcohol /HIV and Related Programs (D&A/HARP) Health Promotion Officer will work towards improving the health and wellbeing of the Central Coast community through population based prevention and education projects.
The position holder will:

  • contribute to a program of work addressing health priorities including, HIV and hepatitis blood borne virus prevention, and risk and harm associated with substance use
  • ensure that projects, programs and initiatives developed are guided by the current versions of the following strategies and plans:
    • NSW Aboriginal Blood-borne virus and Sexually Transmissible Infection Framework 2016-2021
    • NSW Hepatitis B Strategy 2014-2020
    • NSW Hepatitis C Strategy 2014-2020
    • NSW HIV Strategy 2016- 2020
    • NSW Sexually Transmissible Infections (STI) Strategy 2016-2020
    • NSW Drug Strategy
    • National Drug Strategy 2017-2026
