Peninsula And Southeast Oncology Medical is seeking a Clinical Trial Assistant to work within the Clinical Trials Manager and Unit due to recent growth within the Haematology and Oncology clinical trials.

 

The Clinical Trial Assistant will work alongside the rest of the team, while ensuring assigned duties are completed in a timely, efficient, productive, and organized manner.

PASO’s streamlined approach to patient care is aided by location within Frankston Private Hospital where patients can benefit from ease of access between departments with minimal delay. PASO Medical’s goal is to be a home base for patients by guiding them through every step of the journey.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Working closely with the Manager, Clinical Research and the Trial Coordinators
  • Providing administrative support to the unit
  • Preparing report, documents and correspondence as required
  • Supporting the organisation for site selection and monitoring visitors for trials
  • Ensuring all aspects of clinical protocols and trials are properly documented.
  • Creating, quality-checking, and filing of all study-related regulatory and paper source documents

 

Duties include:

  • Data Entry
  • Administrative support to the Clinical Trial department and the organisation
  • Maintain study documents/records and trial supplies
  • Assisting with Ethics application preparation and submissions
  • General office duties

 

What we require:

  • Attention to detail
  • A sound level of competency in the use of computers, including Microsoft Office packages
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Robust organisational skills
  • Must be results oriented, multi-tasking, quick learner, respond to the urgent needs of the team and show a strong track record of meeting deadlines
  • Knowledge of patient confidentiality, including the secure storage and handling of confidential information
