Advance Rehab Centre is a leading allied health practice, specialising in helping clients with neurological conditions and complex therapy needs. The centre has a mobile community team across Metro Sydney and a clinic-based team in Artarmon. The role

We are looking for 1 full-time, or 2 part-time, Allied Health Assistants. The position would be split between our rehab clinic and the community.

Working days are flexible for the right candidate. One of the roles will include Saturdays in our clinic.

You would be implementing therapy programs prescribed by physiotherapists, occupational therapists and/or exercise physiologists – both within the clinic and also in the community/clients’ homes. Handover sessions are provided for each client. We support clients with stroke and other acquired brain injuries, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, Motor Neuron Disease, spinal cord injuries and other progressive conditions – both acute/early in diagnosis and chronic stages.

Your role would also support the smooth, day to day running of our therapy services.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Valid Australian working rights
  • Certificate IV Allied Health Assistant qualification, qualified overseas Allied Health qualification, or related qualification, desired
  • Previous experience working with older people or people with disabilities
  • Previous experience as an Allied Health Assistant, desired
  • Previous experience working in a health care or social services setting, desired
  • Previous experience working with people with neurological conditions, desired
  • Valid Australian Drivers Licence and car owner
