About the role

A part time opportunity exists for an outstanding Administration Officer to provide high level administrative support to patients and members of the primary care team. People with experience in medical services inpatient units are encouraged to apply and aid in this exciting next step for Hurstville Private. Your role will include but is not limited to patient flow management, document preparation assistance and other varied reception duties to compliment the medical care being provided by other members of the Surgical Services team.

Essential Criteria

  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Impeccable personal presentation and attention to detail
  • Proven ability to work in a fast paced environment and prioritise workload appropriately
  • Outstanding time management and organisational skills including; ability to take initiative, application of problem solving, and capability in decision making
  • Exceptional knowledge and application of customer service principles
  • Demonstrated experience in Microsoft Office Suite and database software
  • Minimum two (2) years experience in a hospital setting, preferably within the private sector

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience in provision of administrative support services in a multi-disciplinary setting
  • Knowledge and understanding of Patient Management Systems including Webpas
  • Experience and ability working and interacting with people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds
