The Administration Officer role is to be the front line customer service officer greeting patients on arrival to non-admitted patient services. The ASO is responsible taking appointments/referrals, preparing clinical files, enter ACTPAS data for the non-admitted patient services and enter Medicare arrangements for payment.

What you bring

Mandatory:

  • Ability to manage inquiries from patients, relay important communications between the Clinical Staff and patients, provide a smooth the overall patient experience, including the administration of inpatients and outpatients.
  • Ability to organise workloads, to be flexible and to respond effectively to priorities and deadlines.
  • Proven ability to provide high level administrative support, including managing workload in a busy office
  • Demonstrated ability to use a range of software applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide a transcription and proof reading service for medical notes.

Highly Desirable:

  • Experience within a hospital/health care related setting

Advantageous:

  • Certificate 3 in Office Administration
