Fairfield Hospital is recruiting for a Full Time Hospital Assistant to complement and enhance the current Domestic Services Department.

What you’ll be doing

Full Time Hospital Assistants maintain a clean, hazard-free environment for patients, staff, volunteers, and visitors; providing the highest possible standard in line with NSW Health Environmental Cleaning Policy.

 

To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria as thoroughly as possible.

  • Demonstrated communication skills both verbal and written (tested at interview).
  • Ability to work a 7 day roster, including weekends and public holidays with the flexibility to work morning, afternoon and night shifts as required according to patient flow needs.
  • Ability to navigate with a computer to undertake online training modules/update rosters through HealthRoster and view/update the HRIS Human Resouces Information System by way of Stafflink.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Infection Prevention principles and WHS legislation.
  • Demonstrated Experience in cleaning within a healthcare, commercial or industrial setting.
  • Ability to work effectively independently or in a group environment.
